Last weekend was all about celebrating family and life, and you know what that means—Thanksgiving was in the air! I am so grateful for my family and everyone in my life. It's not just a holiday packed with pumpkin pies and the occasional family drama; it’s a time to give it your all when embracing gratitude and abundance. This particular day invites us to reflect on all the good stuff in our lives and, even better, set the stage for manifesting even more in the year ahead.
What Does It Mean to Give It Your All?
So, what does “giving it your all” on Thanksgiving really look like? It’s not just about cooking the perfect turkey or ensuring the table looks like a Pinterest dream. Nope! It’s about cultivating an attitude of abundance—seeing the fullness of what we have and inviting more of it into our lives by sharing it. Just like the overflowing Horn of Plenty (that’s a fancy name for Cornucopia, in case you didn’t know 😄), Thanksgiving reminds us that gratitude isn’t just a fleeting feeling; it’s the secret key to unlocking the abundance that’s all around us.
The Horn of Plenty is never Empty!
But first, let’s take a little trip down mythology lane, shall we? The Horn of Plenty, or Cornucopia, is one of Thanksgiving's oldest symbols of abundance. You know the one: a large, curved horn spilling fruits, grains, and flowers. But what’s the juicy story behind it?
In Greek mythology, the Cornucopia is linked to the legendary tale of Zeus, the king of the gods. When Zeus was just a wee baby, his dad, Cronos, had a rather unfortunate habit of gobbling up his children (Yikes!). To save him, Zeus was hidden in a cave and cared for by a magical goat named Amalthea, who fed him her milk. One day, the baby god accidentally broke off one of her horns. But lo and behold! This was no ordinary goat horn—it had magical powers! Whatever its possessor wished for would fill that horn to the brim. Talk about an abundance of snacks!
So, how does this ancient myth relate to our Thanksgiving celebrations? Like the Horn of Plenty,
Thanksgiving is our chance to acknowledge the abundance in our lives and manifest even more of it.
When we express our thanks, we’re not just saying "thank you" for what we have; we’re laying the groundwork for even more good things to come our way. We’re opening our hearts to receiving!

Giving It Your All: The Attitude of A-bun-Dance
Now, how are you Thanksgiving it all this year? It starts with a shift in focus—from scarcity to abundance.
Scarcity is all about looking at what’s missing—what we lack, what went wrong, what we didn’t achieve. Abundance, however, is about recognizing what’s right in front of us—the gifts, the growth, the love, and even the lessons learned from those “oops” moments.
It’s about understanding that we are surrounded by more than enough, even in the slightest, most mundane moments.
Here’s the magical part: when you embrace an attitude of abundance, more abundance tends to flow your way. Gratitude acts like a magnet, attracting even more things for which to be thankful. It’s like that magical Cornucopia—once you start focusing on the good, that horn just keeps overflowing!

The Science of Gratitude and Abundance
And get this—there’s actual science backing up the power of gratitude! When you practice gratitude, your brain releases dopamine and serotonin, those feel-good chemicals that boost happiness and contentment.
Studies show that people who regularly express gratitude are happier, healthier, and more successful.
Why is this? When we focus on what we have instead of what we lack, we start to notice the opportunities, people, and resources already available. We shift from a mindset of "there’s not enough" to "there’s more than enough!" This new perspective opens the door to manifesting abundance in every aspect of our lives—relationships, careers, health, and personal growth.
A Thanksgiving Manifestation Practice
Ready to make Thanksgiving a powerful tool for manifesting abundance? Here’s how to do it:
Start with gratitude: Before you dive into that turkey and stuffing, take a moment to reflect on what you’re thankful for. Go beyond the obvious answers like family and health. Think about the challenges that taught you resilience, the moments of joy that carried you through tough days, or even the lessons learned from setbacks. By embracing both the light and the dark, you acknowledge the fullness of life.
Share your gratitude: Make it a fun tradition to go around the table and have each person share something they’re grateful for. This simple act builds connection and reinforces the idea that abundance is found in relationships, not just material things. Plus, it can lead to some entertaining stories!
Visualize abundance: After acknowledging what you’re grateful for, take a moment to visualize the abundance you want to create in the coming year. What do you want more of in your life? Love, success, health, or personal growth? Picture it as if it’s already happening and feel the joy and gratitude for it, even before it arrives.
Give generously: Remember, abundance isn’t just about receiving; it’s about giving, too! Whether you donate to a cause, help someone in need, or simply give your time and attention to a loved one, you are signaling to the universe that you believe there’s more than enough to go around.
Beyond the Table: Cultivating Abundance Every Day
Here’s the kicker: you don’t have to wait for Thanksgiving to practice gratitude and abundance. You can make it part of your everyday life!
Gratitude journaling: Start or end each day by writing down three things you’re grateful for. It can be as simple as the sunshine, a good conversation, or even a delicious cup of coffee. Over time, you’ll notice how this small practice rewires your brain to focus on the good.
Celebrate the small wins: Don’t wait for the significant milestones to celebrate. Did you finish a project? Make it through a tough day? Have a heartwarming moment with a friend? Recognize those moments and give thanks for them.
Embrace abundance in challenges: When things get tough, ask yourself, “What’s the lesson here?” Challenges are growth opportunities, and even amid hardship, there’s something to be grateful for—whether it’s resilience, learning, or the support of others.

The Abundance Within – Tapping into the Infinite Source that You are
Thanksgiving is more than just a holiday; it's a chance to tap into the attitude of abundance that’s available to us all year round. By Thanksgiving, you’re not just giving thanks for what you have—you’re inviting even more goodness into your life.
